A new week on the charts brought a major career moment for Motionless in White. The Pennsylvania group reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart with Afraid of the Dark, marking their first time leading the ranking.
The chart, dated February 14, reflects a strong opening week for the track. Afraid of the Dark pulled in more than two million U.S. streams while also posting gains in radio airplay and digital sales. Those combined numbers pushed the song from its debut straight to the top position.
For Motionless in White, the milestone builds on steady chart momentum. The band has placed several songs inside the top 10 of Hot Hard Rock Songs since the chart launched in 2020, but this is their highest placement to date.
Beyond the No. 1 ranking, Afraid of the Dark also appeared across multiple rock and hard rock charts, reinforcing the band’s continued presence in the genre’s current landscape.
